As a line is composed of a sequence of points, a story is a chain of instants. The moments that films capture frame by frame and 24 to a second are compacted in the diptychs of Trini to show two moments of a time and space in the existence of anonymous people and urban life, giving only an outline of the possible situations and leaving the interpretations open. With this formula like the cinema, she makes the static moment become movement.  Beyond using canvases that allude directly to the 35-mm format, Trini’s work intertwines the language of painting with the idiom of film and photography, opening up the reading and points of reference.

Trini is an observer who doesn’t impose her own vision, but instead incorporates all that is around her simultaneously. This trait helps convert the ordinary into the extraordinary, translated by a palette and brushstrokes that find the exact balance between the figurative and the abstract.

We say that the world is a face that we have to read. We also say that this world changes constantly, thanks to the human activity that always shifts that face into another.

The scenes captured by Trini are ones we see everyday and, even though they cannot be recaptured, we pass them by. Trini’s painting brings back to sight and the present what is around us, in order to reconsider those incredible instants in which our existences cross and, by giving them worth, make them last.
